Here is a new trailer for Vikings: Valhalla, which gives a release date of February 25, 2022. The Netflix show is a spinoff of the Vikings series and appears to take place near the end of the Viking Era. The original series took place around the beginning of the era.
Developer M2H released a trailer for their World War I video game Isonzo, which takes place on the mountainous Italian Front. There aren’t many depictions of these battles and we are looking forward to checking it out:
Sky TV is producing a series about a younger Livia Drusilla, who became the wife of Emperor Augustus and the first Empress of the Roman Empire. She was also the mother of Emperor Tiberius and grandmother of Emperors Caligula and Claudius.
Logic Artists announces Expeditions: Rome, which is the third game in their turned-based party-management series. In this edition, you play fictional military officer Legatus between the time of King Mithridates and Caesar’s Gallic War.
Creative Assembly announced that they will be releasing a remastered version of their original Total War: Rome 4x strategy game. It is scheduled to drop on April 29th, 2021 and can be preordered on Steam.
The Humankind blog reports that the 4X strategy game is delayed until August 2021. They will be using feedback from their OpenDev program to further improve the game, which is avaible for pre-order on Steam.
The Heirs of Alexander content pack has been released for the grand strategy game Imperator: Rome. It covers the Hellenistic era following the death of Alexander the Great, which will be covered in a future page on Historical-Context.
